Multicam editing: a ready project for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro and Avid
Hand the editor a ready project, not a folder of files: every device on its own track named from the project setup, the sound synced to the cameras, fails marked. The editor opens the project and gets to work.
Other systems: Mac with Intel or Windows
A ready sequence for your editing app
Every device is on its own track named from the project setup, and the sound is in sync with the cameras. The editor opens the project and gets to work.
- Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer (AAF) and any app via EDL
- Flexible export settings: frame rate, sequence frame size, sound, track names and gaps
- Templates: “Interview / podcast”, “Course / lecture”, “Event / concert”, “Fiction / commercial”, “Shoot without a sound recorder”, “Quick rough cut”, “Shorts / Reels”
- Gaps where no camera is rolling are shortened
- Takes of one line stacked; a sequence for each take
- Take marks (good / bad, tags, a note) go to the editing app as markers, keywords and ALE
Clips by file time
QC issues reach the edit as markers
The editor gets the issues right on the timeline: fails as red markers, undecided ones in yellow. On export you can take everything found, fail and not decided, or fail only, and leave clips marked “Fail” out of the sequence.
- Premiere Pro (XML), DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro (FCPXML) get markers, EDL gets locators
- The marker text starts with the decision: “Fail:”, “Check:”, “OK:”

How it works
- Sync
Once for the whole shoot: every shooting day gets its own sequence.
- Choose the app
On the “Export” page: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid, or EDL for any other app.
- Set it up
Frame rate, sequence frame size, pauses, which issues to take. Or a ready template: “Interview / podcast”, “Event / concert”, “Fiction / commercial” and more.
- Open it in your editing app
A handover note on how to open the project in the edit sits next to it. In the evening, “Wrap the day” puts the project on every copy drive.
FAQ
Which editing apps does it work with?
Adobe Premiere Pro and Vegas (XML), DaVinci Resolve (FCPXML 1.9), Final Cut Pro (FCPXML 1.10 with a multicam clip), Avid Media Composer, EDIUS and Pro Tools (AAF, ALE), and any other app via EDL. The sequence frame rate and frame size can be chosen on export.
How do I hand a ready project to the editor?
In the evening, “Wrap the day”: the app puts an edit project on every copy drive, with a handover note on how to open it. You can also export the sequence by hand on the “Export” page.
The shoot ran over several days. Is that one project?
Yes. Days and shoot days, even months apart, are synced as a whole: they line up in order without overlaps, and long breaks turn into a minute on the timeline.
Does the app change my files?
Never. Source media is only read. Copies, proxies, sequences, corrected sound and reports are created as separate files.
